Paper Instructions

A maximum of 15 minutes will be allowed for each presentation, including time for questions. Computer and projection equipment will be available for PowerPoint presentations.

Tips to help with presentation of paper:

1. You will be allowed 15 minutes for your presentation. Generally individuals prepare a 12-minute presentation and allow 3 minutes for questions. The 15-minute time limit will be strictly enforced.
2. Your presentation should include the rationale, hypotheses, method employed, findings, and interpretation of your study.
3. Visual aids help the audience follow your talk. Remember, less is more. A slide that is too busy is difficult to interpret.
4. It is better to talk to your audience rather than read to them. Preparing a set of notes and using them to tell your audience about your study is better than reading a manuscript. 
5. Practicing your talk out loud will help you manage the timing of the talk as well as facilitate the ease of presentation. 
6. Speak slowly.
7. Always keep in mind you are the most knowledgeable person about your study in the room.
